Roger Federer claims Andy Murray will be under "big pressure" in Sunday's Australian Open final.

The 15-time Grand Slam winner thrashed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga on Friday to set up a mouthwatering final against British number one Murray.

"I think he really needs it more than I do, so I think the pressure's big on him," said Federer, 28.

"But we'll see how he's going to handle it. It's not going to be easy for him, that's for sure."

Federer defeated Murray in the 2008 US Open final, the Scot's first Grand Slam final, but Murray leads their head-to-head 6-4.

However, Federer believes his experience of 21 Grand Slam finals - and Murray's defeat in his first - could be crucial.

Andy Murray is confident he can continue his superb form when he takes on Rafael Nadal in the Australian Open quarter-finals at 0830 GMT on Tuesday.

But the Scot believes he can add his third win on Rod Laver Arena.

"I think I can win. I think I've got some tactics that work well against him. I'm playing well," he said.

Murray took a while to warm up but was eventually in cruise-control

Britain's Andy Murray produced a patchy performance but did enough to see off Florent Serra 7-5 6-1 6-4 and make the fourth round in the Australian Open.

The fifth seed raced to a 3-0 lead and finally edged the first set after a brief fightback from the Frenchman.

The second set was a much smoother affair and despite another wobble in the middle of the third, Murray kept his cool to secure victory.

Murray next faces John Isner, who beat 12th seed Gail Monfils in four sets.

Murray admitted he had let his opponent off the hook in the opening set but was pleased to progress.

Teacher smashes throw-in record

Impressive stuff!

Footage of Danny Brooks's world record-beating throw-in

A PE teacher from West Yorkshire has broken a world record with the longest-ever football throw-in.

Danny Brooks, 28, launched a ball 49.78m (163ft) - half the length of a football field - with his unusual gymnast-style flip throw.

Mr Brooks, who teaches at Brooksbank School Sports College in Elland, said he got the idea after watching Stoke player Rory Delap's long throw-ins.

The previous record of 48.17m (158ft) was set by Michael Lochner in 1998.

Mr Brooks's method involves him taking a run-up and somersaulting with the ball in his hands before throwing it.

The technique is legal in football matches because he has two feet on the ground at the time of the throw.

Nicolas Anelka grabbed two as Chelsea turned on the style at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea returned to Premier League action in emphatic fashion as they routed Sunderland to once again underline their title credentials.

Nicolas Anelka grabbed the first, a one-on-one, and sixth, a tap-in, while Florent Malouda smashed the second.

A Frank Lampard volley followed Ashley Cole's stunning control and finish, before Michael Ballack headed a fifth.

Bolo Zenden and Darren Bent replied either side of Lampard's headed second, but it really was scant consolation.

The win keeps Chelsea one point ahead of title rivals Manchester United at the top of the table with a game in hand on their rivals.

Stella Shortage

Just as well it is brewed in Eng too,for the UK fans of this beer!
clipped from news.bbc.co.uk

Disaster may be brewing - or not - in beer-loving Belgium, where supplies of two of the country's most famous beers may be down to the last dregs.

An industrial dispute over planned job cuts means a blockade is threatening supplies of Stella Artois and Leffe.

A week-long blockade has stopped any beer from leaving the Leuven headquarters of Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world's biggest brewing company.

Belgian supermarkets and bars have warned stocks are running low.

A camera designed to recognise how many passengers are travelling in a car is to be tested in West Yorkshire.

The Dtect camera will monitor the car-share lane of the A647 Stanningley Road near Leeds for three days to see how many people are travelling in vehicles.

The trial, which starts on Thursday, aims to show that the camera can accurately detect lone drivers illegally using the two-plus lane.

The trial results will not be used to prosecute drivers, the council said.

The camera is the result of a research project between Loughborough University and Leeds City Council.

Frozen lake picture by Paul Delaney
Two of the largest lakes in Cumbria - Derwent Water and Bassenthwaite Lake - have almost frozen over
Britain is bracing itself for icy blasts as the freezing weather looks set to continue over the weekend.

The forecast came as the government stepped in to conserve road gritting stocks due to dwindling salt supplies.

Forecasters say it will feel colder overnight because of an "increased wind chill" coming from Germany and Poland.

Up to 20cm of snow is forecast for parts of South Yorkshire and the south of London - from Essex to Brighton.
